Olly the Groodle and Millie the Tabby – BFFs Forever

It’s really hard in my line of work to not play favourites, but when I met Olly and Millie, I instantly knew they’d be part of some of my fave photos ever! Olly the Groodle was the absolute goodest boy (yes, goodest is now a word) and Millie was a supermodel of the tabby variety.

We started off with a super fun park session out in Lara – Olly was so excited that he even went and got his lead for us! In classic Melbourne style, the morning started off with full sun but a beautiful fog was hanging over Geelong and its surrounds, perfect conditions for photos!

After Olly showed off his ball retrieving skills, we headed home so Millie could strut her stuff for the camera. She is such a pretty girl with the most beautiful pale green eyes! After a while, Olly was insistent that he get involved again, where we managed to capture some super sweet photos of the two of them together – proving that cats and dogs really can be the best of friends!

A big thank you to Olly and Millie’s mum and dad, I had an absolute blast photographing your babies!

JoJo the Princess

Josie, aka JoJo, aka Madam – fifteen years old, deaf (selectively), blind (partially), beautiful (totally). This senior gal came to live with Ian two years ago, after her owner passed away. Before he went, he asked Ian to take care of Josie, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Now she lives a life of luxury in Adelaide, with regular weekend escapes to the country.

JoJo may be slightly lacking in the sight and hearing department, but there sure isn’t anything wrong with her appetite, the doggy chocolate drops disappeared as quickly as I could produce them! Someone (not me, really) sneaked her a couple of bits of salami from the cheese platter too.

There is always something that little bit extra special when I’m photographing senior dogs, sure there are a few challenges with mobility etc, but what really shines through is just how much they mean to their humans – photo shoots are a chance to celebrate their lives and their bond with their humans, and to tell stories about them and just generally laugh and love. It’s a privilege to be able to do this for people.

If you’ve got a special senior (or junior!) you’d like photographed, shoot me an email or say hi via my contact page

Fashion – Byron and Co Bandannas

FASHION – turn it to the left!

Justin B is busting out his meowdelling skills to show off his spunky new bandanna from Byron & Co!

These gorgeous high quality bandannas are all handmade in Geelong, and come in a huge range of fabrics in sizes xxs-xxl (Justin wears an extra small). Head on over to their insta and show them some love!

Alphie – Part Mini Foxy, Part Jack Russell, Part Chihuahua, And All Ears

Oh my goodness, how can I possibly describe how incredibly charming and sweet Alphie is? From the second I showed up to the minute I left, I was showered with kisses, belly rubs, and bum wiggles from this darling boy. At eight months old, Alphie is still very much a puppy – we are hoping he doesn’t grow into his fruit bat ears though, because they are just the best! He is so well behaved and sweet natured, he is just as happy running and playing fetch as he is cuddled up in his mum’s arms for Netflix and chill.

We had our shoot at Darebin Parklands in Fairfield. This is the best off leash doggy park, there’s even a swimming hole so it’s perfect for hot Melbourne days. While we were there, Alphie made a new friend Indy the Staffy cross, she was an angel and even posed for a photo, despite Alphie jumping all over her and doing zoomies to impress her (there may have been a spell of excited humping too)

Alphie also modelled one of the gorgeous Pride collars from Byron and Co. These collars are all hand made in Geelong and are such an awesome accessory for your equality loving pup. They also do a very spunky range of bandannas!

I love puppy shoots so much – they are only this small once and they are such a delight to capture! If you’d like to book in a session for your puppy (or any dog for that matter), shoot me an email or say hi through my contact form

A photo bomb from Indi the Staffy cross!
